Now if you like weed in any shape or form then you have to make Amsterdam your next holiday destination. I don’t need to tell you why it is such as hotspot for your favourite recreational activity, but you may have held back from making the pilgrimage for whatever reason. It only cost about £100 to get there and back and when you get there it isn’t too expensive, especially if you use something like AirBnB (an international B&B community offering cheap accommodation to members) to find a room in an apartment for the duration of your stay. (That’s what we did and it was ace.)Here are some of the things I learned while I was there for the first time to whet your appetite and hopefully encourage you to book those flights!

How much do you really know about cannabis? Here are some lesser known facts that you may be amazed by.

A 25-year-old man passed away from a gunshot wound. The deceased individual was part of a group of three individuals attempting to break and enter a marijuana seed grow operation located in Langley, British Columbia.

The police have not made any arrests, nor do they have any suspects in custody. While it's certainly sad that a young person had to die, it's hard to put the blame on the cannabis growers/murderer in this situation.

Marijuana. Progresso. Limes. Cucumbers. That could be the start to an episode of the Food Network's show Chopped. Or, it could be the snarky intro to a blog post about a "lime truck" filled with over a ton of cannabis getting busted in Progreso, Texas last Wednesday.

Which, coincidentally, was also the same day a cucumber truck had over 1,900 pounds of bud lifted from it. In total, the "foodie" busts totalled almost $3.5 million and over 4,000 pounds of marijuana.
