Hi, just wondering if there was a strain of indica or sativa or a hybrid that grows shorter than Afghani #1? I've looked through the strain base sites and cant find any.. but i havent spent the time to look through all the hybrids and sativa and such, just wondering, thanks.

Ps - its for my scrog garden which is 2 ft tall 3ft wide 1.5 ft deep, so keep that in mind if you respond with a strain.

I don't know the height of Afghani #1. I did read that Peak 19 grows to 36". That, to me, is pretty short. Try doing a seach for height in Emery's catelog. There you will get the seed producer's opinion.

    Just flippin through

    Hey Trips,

I was just flippin through the forum looking for something like this. I wanted to start Scrogging, but I dont have a lot of height so afgani sounds like the perfect strain for me. I was just wondering how high you would put the screen for such a short plant?

    Thanks for lookin out

Afghani#1 is a hybrid of Skunk#1 and Afghanindica, its far from being the smallest plant, its not a pure Indica by any means....which leads me to the next point :)

A plants size is purely and simply under the gardeners control by irtue of the fact that we can, in the indoor situation, flower at any point. If your aim is for very small plants then you should either i) clone on 12hrs of light or ii) flower straight from clone.

Pure indicas such as Northern Lights can be kept at only 12 inches in height total, BC Afghani is another example of a pure Indica that stays very very small. any way my point is that the induction of flowering at a particular height will dictate that plants eventual size and girth.

    Hey all,

Flower straight from clone Oz? Do you mean as soon as it has rooted? If so, does this affect yield very much?........ or do you think a 3 to 4 week vegetative period is beneficial for both clones and seed germinated plants?

Is a clone that has rooted, considered a mature plant?

My fascination for this unique plant grows daily.

Yes you can flower as soon as the clones are rooted. The clones are the same age as the mother plant you took them off of. So..yes...rooted clones are mature.

Benenficial to keep in veg?....Up to you. Do you want a quicker harvest? Don't veg as much. Do you want more yield? Veg the plants longer and let them bulk up.

    Hope I didn't step on any toes...Oz ;)
