Assigned areas would be beneficial, Organic, to keep duplication to a minimum. I have a pretty good list of NooB questions that I'm working and will try to post them here tomorrow.

Newbie Questions

Here's a list of the question I had pre and early grow. This first list deals with planning, setup, germination and early vegg states, and assumes a serious attempt at getting the info necessary to get started. Some of you experienced gardeners will have to provide questions from the later stages of growth... I haven't gotten there yet!

1. I want to build an area indoors to grow weed. How big an area do I need? How much space is too much? Do I need seperate area for different stages of plant lifecycle? How much space in proportion to each stage? What is this gonna cost? How do I calculate square and cubic feet?

2. Electrical: How do I wire up lights and timers, provide power for fans and heaters -- possibly with thermostats. How do I calculate amps/watts/volts?

3. What kinda weed should I plant? What are the pro's and cons of each? What is the most potent? What strain is the easiest to grow? What smells the least? What grows the shortest/tallest? Should I use bagseed? What is schwag?

4. Germination through early veg: guides and methods, care of seedlings, etc.

5. What soil should I use? How should I prepare the soil?

6. What size pots should I use? Should I grow in the biggest pot I can for my space? Should I transplant? When do I transplant into larger pots?

7. What temperature should I keep the box? For what stage? Effects of temp on plants?

8. What types of ferts? How much? when? Effects/symptoms of too much/not enough.

9. What kind of lights? For what stage? How much light? Where do I find them? How much do they cost? Schedules/photoperiod per stage. Calculations and lumen tables.

10. PH requirements and methods of control. Effects/symptoms of out of range.

11. Water, how much-how often. Methods, effects/symptoms of too much/not enough.

12. HVAC: How do I support the optimum temp? Heating, venting, timer schedules or thermostat.

13. Beans: Where and how to get them, security & gotchas, bargain genetics, good genetics, feminized.

14. Shopping list and vendors where known. Tech specs for products used.

15. General security related to MJ, odor control, light security. Methods of stopping in/out light leaks. Postal and web site security. Shadow email addresses.
