Breeding Questions EVERYONE HELP ME PLEASE

well anyways... i ended up gettin 6 clones from the male magic bud to root.. so im going to keep them in a small box to veg.. for a while until i can figure out what im going to do about this situation.. all i can really say is.. the pineapple expresss smells like pineapple.. so excited.. the magic bud smells like a spicy smelling fruity smell its very tasty smelling.. im so happy with the way these plants are turning out..

Do what I do. Take that Magic Bud male and put a clone of each strain that you have in there with him including a Magic Bud female and let him juice all over your virgin ladies.
Then take the next two years testing out the results. You may find the willy wonka's golden ticket pheno on that Magic Bud. Who knows. Even though it opens up the gene pool from end to end, all it takes is one seed to find the special pheno.

After extensive study, this is just how it is. I ordered Purps from BC Bud Depot regular seeds. I had a really vigorous, fantastic looking male. I also had a pretty female that I seeded with him. I grew out the seeds from them and as expected, the genepool was wide open.
I had a Purps that smelled and tasted just like the others, but it took 15 weeks to finish and it was all brite green. No purple at all. The Purps takes 8-9 weeks to finish on the norm. That was the Afghani male used to backcross the once clone only Mendo Purps that was gifted to BC Bud Depot during a cannabis competition. They used that Afghani male and backcrossed it out until they stabalized the original Mendo Purps in seed form now for all to be able to get the awesome genetics. If I used there female and there pollin then I would not have this problem. Breeding is really difficult if you are trying to accomplish something like they did with the Purps.
I found a great pheno in the Purps#9 but thats gone now and I have to pheno hunt again with my last 60 seeds I made. It will take about 20 seeds to find the great pheno that has it all. Hope this helps you understand a little better without me haveing to rewrite the breeding section of the advanced growers handbook.

So I have a different experience. I took my Klar which was a 3xbackcross of Barney's farm G-13 haze, and made an f2. Out of the few seeds I made I only had to start about three dozen to find a really good pheno. If I could do the whole process again. I would consider an open pollination of my original 10 pack of seeds. Which would make a huge population of f2s you could start hundreds of seeds at a time to look for the real winners.

I would use your male pollen on as many of your plants as you can. You will need to wait at least a month from germination for the seeds to become viable. And remember you might need to start a lot of seeds to find the real nice ones in the batch but hey you didn't pay for them so dont worry about culling slow starters or really anything that deviates from your perfect plant.

ok so what i did was.. the male itself i put in a tent with a female.. special k . and let it pollinate the shit out of her.. and about 5 days after he blew his load i went in there cut down .. brought into a porch area collected some pollen in a vial to keep in the fridge just incase.. but i have 4 more clones of him just incase i wanjt to try to stabalize the seeds i made.. so its going to be a magic bud male x special k female..

special k is from Royal Dutch Genetics Kush x Northern Lights
and Magic bud is Magic Merlin x Big Bud

im not really like seriose about the breeding with this one.. so much . it was just an experiment because i got a beautiful looking plant that i thought was female.. and ended up being male.. he stunk so good loooked great.. so i said id try it out and make some seed stock that i can play around with and see what happens.. i really would love to move to canada and learn more about breeding and maybe do that for a living lol ?

anyone know how long it takes from pollination to seed?

any idea how long.? umm wen the seed pods are opening up are they ready? it looks like all the seeds are still green as we speak but the calyxes are opening up so u can see a sliver of the seed .. but there not black..... its been since the 28th they were pollinated.. so wen should i pick..?

I'm presuming u only pollinated a small part of the plant, so harvest the good smoke when ready. n wait till your beans drop.

I would say give it a week they will start dropping out of the plant when they are as ready as they are gunna be.

i actually havent been able to find out what the magic bud really is.. now im finding out its VICTORY X unknown Strain..

iuno i had a friend test seeds and shit since my grow got all fucked up and i had to shut down.. security shit with landlord and people i knew were getting in trouble for growing so i had to shut down its not wroth it .

so since we shut down i had an outdoor crop that was a success. grew out some of the magicbud x special k outside. and they turned out great.. what a cross.. but ya.. indoor growing is done until next year.. we are moving to colorado. my girls cousin lives out there and has jobs for us and everything.. its awesome.
