You know.. the bud from Mexico that's nothing special and full of seed.

Any reports on success or failure? It's all I have without doing something stupid like mail order

IMO its a total absolute waste. BUT I want donk, killer skunk, sour cream etc etc. If you like brick weed and its true brick weed chances are what you grow will be slightly higher quality as it wont be packed into bricks, grown w males around, and stuffed in a smugglers body cavity.

ps that being said your plant does look good so far.

I say go for it! It's worth a shot and is a great learning experience. All of my grows come from bagseed (not mexibrick though) and I have got some killer bud from them. Last one was kinda weak, but still pretty good midgrade.

brickweed, was dried in 100f+ temps probably, then crushed into a little brick.

then travelled quite along way in cramped spaces, often really hot. often handled very uncarefully.

if brickweedseed is what you got, why not try it, could be bunk, could be really good. probably somewhere in between , like most weed.

ive never grown bagseed that wasnt quite a lot better than the weed i bought (and that was weed grown locally indoors) so it should kick the brickweeds ass.

Definitely go for it. If possible, spring as many seeds as you can, eventually getting rid of the males, and keeping clones of the particular strains you like. Properly cared for seedlings from any mid to low grade weed will always turn out better than what you originally smoked.

i grew bag seed for a yr or two before i bought genetics.... the problems i saw with them is that 3/4 thru flowering they were hermie... and this was dependent about how badly it was bricked... some of the shit we get here is fluffy and has some viable seeds.... and its not bad smoke, but if you want to be on a level playing field, buy good genetics, i personally suggest Nirvana Seeds, they have some great prices and begginer strains that offer, taste, potency, good clean genetics..... and did i mention they were priced well.... for under 100 you can get about 2-4 strains depending on the number of seeds you want and if they are femmed.... i havent had a bad run with femmed seeds, but i do like buying regular seeds to keep male pollen for future projects...... hope this helps....PEACE...

if you have never grown before... unless they were free I would NOT suggest getting expensive seeds...

I am on grow #5... my 1st REAL genetics (strawberry cough) is about 4 weeks away and I can't wait! But even with 4 grows under my belt... I still managed to kill 1 strawberry cough and 2 alaskian ice seedlings out of blunt stupidity.

To start out... spend your $ on good equipment.go thru few grows with the bag seed untill you get the feel of it.... :2cents:

Definitely grow it. At worst it'll be better than what it came from and chances are it'll be anywhere from a little bit to a lot better. And you never know when you'll find a hidden gem.
