    As I learn more about this (my new obsession/hobbie) I get a bit confused. I bought a female clone and have been able to veg it out well for a first time. The person I bought the clone from says its possible for it to turn into a male plant. Logically that makes no sense to me given the understanding I have, which is limited, of genetics.

    Is the seller crazy? Can a female clone grow up to be male? Mind you, I only have the one clone with no contact to any other plant

    Only if you stress it enough to turn it into a hermafrodite, there is no other way it will turn male. A female clone will not turn into a male by itself.
