So I don't know much about breeding and I was wondering what happens if you take a female pollinate it with a selected male, grow it out, collect the seeds. Then take a clone of that male that you have been keeping alive and pollinate a plant grown from those seeds. So basically i want to take a female cross it with a male grow a female from those seeds and cross it with the same male again. If I then grew those seeds out what would I have? would they be mostly like the male at that point? I ask because the most beautiful plant ever turned out to be male and I want a female like it! Sorry I know this is maybe a little confusing how I wrote it!

I think i understand what you're saying....you're saying what would happen if you create your own hybrid....then let a male you have vegged pollinate your hybid.

Well i think the answer is...it probably wouldnt make that much of a difference lol...you are just re crossing genetics.

Yes but I'm saying that the vegged male would be the father of the hybrid. I want to clone the male to keep it going and keep crossing it with seeds from this hybrid. What I was hoping is that eventually the plants would become more and more like the male. I basically want a female plant just like the male.....just female...LOL!

What did you like more about the male? Do realize that...even in your batch of hybrid seeds...there will be tons of phenos. Some will shoot to the sky..some might even grow real short....what you really need to do is find your perfect female in veg and keep that mother for as long as you want and keep taking cuttings.

I am huge Indica fan! Like everything about them but I have had a hard time finding indicas in my seeds. This one male is a dark green skunky pure indica with tons of purple all over it even in the veins! It is just everything i'm looking for in a plant... just the wrong sex!

Well indicas are indeed nice strains..very medicinal....dense resinous nugs..and faster finishers than sativas. As for purple..that can be brought out in any plant by bring the temps down low at nighttime. Steve tuck talks about it in a video..the purple is just dead chlorophyl..if a plant did not have chlorophyl it'd be purple.

    Mr Ruby,
What your speaking about is a crude version of what breeders call cubing...which is a series of planned back-crosses along one line during several generations in an attempt to enhance certain traits over others...etc. I am supposed to be moving back to SoCal and will be doing a lot more videos and covering tricks such as this although this subject will be in the very advanced classes? I have people looking for me a house now and will be completely in gear by Aug as well as being much more active on here until then. Lots of new projects coming and I think everybody here will be surprised at the level of effort we are fixing to put into this and I'm excited for first time in years! Peace, Steve Tuck
