Rain is good, rain is great

the warm water showers, with calcium carbonate, are great for breaking the ionic bonds in the medium. This is an excellent source of flush water; straight from the tap. Just like mine ... flouride is good, too. ;)

    gypsum is good ****

i like to take about 4oz of gypsum and 8oz of pure water and put it all in a mason jar, closed tightly so it doesn't evaporate. Let it settle for a week or so (shake occasionally), and use a syringe to suck out the middle of the solution and add it to the res, gallon, watering can, or whatever. No sediment should be transfered to the medium for pwc/dwc and most dense mixes as it can clog pores and pumps. (you will see some falls to the bottom and some floats on top ... the middle.

Steeping gypsum is good if you want to use it within a day or so ... it is not necessarily a requirement but will speed up the dissolving process.

Whatever you do, don't mix the dissolved gypsum with anything else and store it. If, and when, you mix it with other more general fertilizers, use ALL the resulting solution immediately. 200-300ppm, first, not last.

Calcium Chloride is good ****, too

But Cannabis, ime, is more than fairly susceptible to Chlorine burn and using CaCl too often can cause bronzing of new growth. It probably wont happen for a while, but before flower is over it becomes more evident as the chlorine builts to toxic levels within the plant.

Regardless, this stuff is POTENT, the most, and can cure a calcium deficiency lickity split. Also, cannabis does require a certain amount of chloride ions and using pure distllled or ro water can rob it of this needed micro. In a way, combined with another sulfate like Epsom, it is the best choice overall.

    Calcium acetate is great ****

No worries about too much chlorine or sulfur and this is a good choice for a steady regimen or in a chemigation system (manual or otherwise). Dont forget ... But, where are your chloride and sulfate ions coming from?

Calcium Oxide or Calcium hydroxide are the absolute shiznit. Nothing compares during training.

    damn

i actually thought i was understanding that....until you threw the ions :(
more reading. i didn't read this much in school...but then i wasn't there to learn...here, i am. so off to the library.
is there a chart somewhere that has the..anion? damn, forgot the other one already. the negative/positive properties.

 if you only knew. a one fingered chicken typer that when the right mind sees, the left can't type...and when the left can type..the right can't see...:D phew ( but i'm cruising since the on-screen :D
I'm going to fool all ya'll one day and get a computer with the thing you talk into and it types. Ha !

so where would something like magnitite play into all this pos.- neg. stuff? how does paramagnetism play into soil? i would just like to know if they are related.

the road in the halogram gets longer at every turn. :D  :)

    zoom'd out on ions
hey wait, my new name is....." Zoomion !" :D :smokin:

How many plants do you think I could fit in a 3' x 2' closet under a 400w MH using your method of training?
  5. Offline

    lurkapup

    pot size ..

I read delta saying somewhere that the plant above the soil should mirror the plant below .. like a barbell I think he used as a metaphor ... so get the pots you're going to be using .. around 3-5 gallons .. and see how many you can fit in your space ...

in a similar size space I flower 4 plants (ones in a slightly smaller pot) ...

    stem

what about the stem width or how strong it is or what
  9. Offline

    Xzoomd Ganja Growa

    Yes

try equaling whatever N your using with K in veg. Like a 2-1-2 ratio...it will thicken your stem visably. Then a 1-2-2 ratio in flwrg.

    schoolteacher

I trained early, there are two strains. Skunk Passion and Green Spirit were bent over onto their sides and tied to hold it in place. They are behaving very differently. The SP tips grew up and made a little bonsi bush while the GS did not but all the internodes are now growing up into what look to be main shoots. The GS is bent over about 10 inches to the side with 4 main shoots comming off her. The pattern is the same for all 3 SP and all three GS. Interesting heh.:newkid:
