Dont you hate it when your plants get too tall

OMG. I bow to the great grower! I'm just a newbie hobbyist and we vegged our first plants for waay to long (didn't know about "the stretch"). Ended up with colas hitting the ceiling. We used weights to lower branches, hung lights around, hung fluorescents on the side walls etc. But your plants are so neat and manicured! Ours looked like a messy jungle! Kudos to you. No matter what happens, looks like you have some sweet bud coming. Can I come over for lessons?

Yes indeed I hate it when my plants get too tall and stinky with millions of sticky trichomes covering the buds; just makes me want to go put my fist through the drywall!

hey you guys.. im just wondering here.. ive been seeing things about how turning a plant on it side..or transplanting a large plant sideways.. and putting it into flower it support.. can increase yield.. but i just wana know if anyones done it .. i have a mother thats huge.. and i wana flower her out.. and was thinking maybe ill just transplant her.. and then like turn it sideways and put a stake and maybe string from cieling to hold it .. and let her flower..??????????? i just think i could achieve good things but ill need to prune her up .

Maybe try topping them along with LSTing them. Im a big fan of LST, give it some time and some thought out snips & cuts and youre good to go, ive seen great results using both together. Be warned, they grow like a rocket after.

what i mean is.. i have a mango thats 6 feet tall.. and i think if i take some clones off it .. and then transplant it into a 5 gallon.. but when doing so .. plant it almost sideways kinda at an angle like / so that the the branches grow up kinda like if u were to lst the stem down to the ground and the other stems climb for the light?

kinda like but even more tilted.. id either use string or a couple stakes to keep her a float.. i think it works i did it to another plant butmuch smaller.. and it looks like its just kinda like how u do a scrog.. sept without the screen like u turn it on its side.. then all the buds kinda just pop up u could probably grow a tall ass plant.. then slap it sideways under a screen .. and veg for a couple more weeks and then flower.. look online for growing tomatoes sideways .. or growing other fruit or veges sideways.. it increases yeild by strengthening the main stem and increasing the light to lower branches that would of never recieved that much light..

My suggestion, if the plant is 6 feet tall, is to transplant into a 10 gallon "oval" rubbermade or similar style trash can. (drill 1/4 inch holes in the bottom and set up on shims for drainage) Make sure the top edge has a lip in which to attach lines. The ten gallon trashcan is nice and deep, allowing the primary root to grow deep and allow much uptake of nutrients to the newly tied down plant producing marvelous new colas. The top is oval and wide, perfect for LST and growing a bush or what I refer to as an "Emu."

Use "JUST WASHED" fingers to "gently" pull soil away from one side of rootball and plant as far over to one side as possible. Then using string, light landscaping ties or metal wire, tie the plant down completely horizontal so the top of plant is about the height or slightly lower than the base of the stem. You'll have to maneuver some underlying branches so as not to rest on the soil and may not be able to get it completely horizontal but try to...lol

I realize the top of the plant will protrude out of the side of trashcan but it will start growing vertical within 24 hours. The rest of the plant which will then be horizontal (or close to it) will start to grow new shoots which will be the start of brand new colas. As these new colas become tall, simply tie them down in a "spoke" fashion and repeat until there are no available spots left to the adjacent "spoke."

This is Low Stress Training (LST) personified and will, at the very least, triple your yield and create a monster bush! You'll be able to lower your light and hit every square inch of your plant so it will be evenly rounded with prime bud goodness in the end.

i thought about it .. but its becoming a mission. i mite just cut off 2 feet off the top.. and then toss her into flower an see wat happens
