    did I say a foot?

The tall ones are 18 inches above the screen.

That's 40 inches to the hydroton....not your average scrog.

I measured their mother [4 weeks ahead in a hempy] at 32 inches
she's at 49 days and starting to change pistil colors

    Power Kush by Dinafem Seeds

    Marijuana Seeds Information

This is the most endogamic strain that we have developed. A single original mother plant grown over many years, the Power Kush has provided descendants which are all grandchildren of that one plant. For that purpose, S1 seeds, or self-pollinated first generation seeds were created. These seeds were cultivated and later selected, aiming to keep plants which were similar to the mother plant, which was an indica-skunk hybrid, used for commercial production supplying Amsterdam coffee-shops. The best two of these S1 daughter seeds were selected and their cross finally gave the Power Kush seeds that are sold.

The result gives greater stability than other breeding systems which, in addition to the vigour of the strain, has given us seeds with skunk/afghani genetics providing very predictable and commercial results. They grow well, the leaves are big, wide and long, so the plant can make the most of the light. They flower quickly, producing a harvest of buds covered in white and orange hairs, particularly popular in Amsterdam, an abundance of resin and a sweet skunk smell with a light touch of orange and strawberry. The effect is physical and mental; the strength is astonishing but no real coincidence if we take into account that skunk was the queen of Holland during the nineties and was developed quickly to produce great quality that has been maintained as much as possible to the present day.
    Flowering period: 45-55 days
    Harvest outdoors: Until 5th October
    T.H.C: High (12%-16%)
    C.B.D: Medium
    Production: High
Height outdoors: Can reach 3 m
    Blend: Indica-Sativa (50%-50%)
    Genotype: (Afghani x Skunk#1) S1 x (Afghani x Skunk#1)

    smokey the bare

    Hey Hash,

Those look totally insane! Do you think your screen is going to support those monsters as they start bulking up? It looks to me like some additional strings are in your future.

    Beautiful stuff. Thanks for sharing.

    Peace.

Hash O' , Is there any reason why you let them grow so tall above the screen or is it just the strain getting away from you. Would you consider this grow a scrog? Just wondering Thanks a bunch!

That is exactly what the screen was made for.

I used to grow big plants....and they fall over from bud weight.
So I have the support....right up under the buds.

I actually started flower a week or so b4 they hit the screen.
I've grown out 2 of these in hempies....they run about 4ft tall
The ones here are the same height.
The ones grown in 2 gallon hempies produce maybe 15-20 grams each.

But, by putting a dozen tops on each plant....all the same distance from the light.....
I'll get 4 to 5 times the weight off each plant

    Big Bud Man....you crazy...you wild

    Big Tony.....hmmm let's see
This was meant to just be about the screen...
My secret growing recipe consists of:

    General Hydroponics Flora Series
    Flora-Grow Flora-Micro Flora-Bloom

I follow the directions right off the bottle.
I don't change the res....I ONLY top up
    for the ENTIRE grow.

The last week to 10 days I only add back water.
This dilutes the res down to about 25% normal by the end.

    Day 1 Kushberry Skunk

So for no good reason I've got 4 rooted clones of different heights.

Today was the 1st Night....so we'll see who fares the best if there is any difference at all.

I'm gonna trim and tuck till they start to tuft.

So a lot more work for the tallest plant...and a lot less for the shortest.

I've been smoking test plants of this since June...OMG is this one tastey.

You can't put that J down.

The nugs grow close and very very dense.

Even the smallest stem is woody...

    My short one is
    15 inches above her hydroton.
11 inches above that deck and
    6 inches from the screen
    [IMG]

The tallest one in the backrow, has already been topped [yesterday] and is now
    19 inches above her hydroton.
15 inches above that deck and
    2 inches from the screen

Here's a "test" plant at 7 weeks in an IRB

Same said test plant has broken under it's own weight at 7 weeks 5 days.
It's gotten nothing but water for 10 days...all it's leaves are still dark green.
This pheno has a lot of blue in it.

1st week of flower our stategy is to choose the 8-10 branches that will carry our buds to harvest.

at 3 weeks....we'll trim everything off below the net

4 plants at 8-10 each....32 to 40 colas should break the weight per stalk down to 1/2 to 3/4 oz each

That will keep the snapped stalks and bud rot away
