Can someone recommend a good 3 phase (micro, grow and bloom) nutrient pack for hard water?

any organic nutrients are very acidic in bottle form, and will drop your ph to ideal ranges when used properly. but also if u are doing an organic grow, u should have plenty of alaska humus in your mix, and some dolomite lime.. both of which will buffer ph to ideal ranges. biobizz, grow, bloom, and alg-a-mic will give u all u need to have some good herb if u want to go the organic route.

I was going to try my hand at a hempy bucket this time, would the organic nutrients still be a good choice? I know the Ph will effect the intake of nutrients and wasn't sure if I needed to be concerned about the hard water having a similar effect on the nutrient intake

not familiar with hempy buckets but a quick google search shows that its a hydro/dwc method.. theres no soil medium other than perilite and vermiculite.. so your best bet is to use gh 3 part nutrients.. and yes u do need to ph your water/nutrient mix with synthetic nutrients. go with gh 3 part and gh also has ph up/down. good luck.

I use those exact ingredients and I have hard water. I get excellent results so it's one of two things: either the hardness of the water doesn't make much difference if any, or, I would get even better results with purer water. Our water tastes great right out of the tap, it is always right at a ph of 7 so I have the ph adjustment using the GH product figured out precisely and it never changes. Makes for quick nute changes. THe hardness isn't as bad as some places, but it's still pretty bad. It just calcifies on my air stones and pumps, but it comes right off. So short answer from my point of view - hardness doesn't matter. But it might in different areas. Depends on what's making it hard. That sounds weird.

I forgot to mention that the GH Flora series has a micro-nutrient component that can be ordered especially blended for hard water. They don't offer it for the other two components of the series so it must not make any difference in those (the grow and bloom). They know their shit.

Most likely, I can identify all of earth's minerals by looking at the porcelain around the drain in my bathtub. It's a virtual rainbow of mineral deposits. Luckily, my plants love their source of water, as hard as it might be.
