HELP PLEASE MAJOR PROBLEM @ HARVEST ASAP

Hi guys and gals, I need some help fast, thanks in advance. The problem, I am on vacation and 700 miles from home. I have a house sitter/plant watcher there, and for some reason my auto timer did not start today like it was suppose to, so I had him un plug it and left plants in dark. I am returning Saturday, and I had planned on him unplugging light tomorrow leaving plants in dark for 3 days because I planned on cutting plants down as soon as I got home. Now, 1st, I have never left plants in dark before harvest, so that is new, I have read that the most is 48-72. Because of problem plants will be in dark/cool well vented tent for 4 days instead of 2-3. BUT, they will now be in dark for 4 days, how badly will this damage my harvest. what will happen with my plants being in the dark 4 days?????? Please any and all input needed ASAP. And NO my house sitter cannot cut plants, I really am worried, I have 7 plants, with 6 different strains, will the extra day harm them much? This is a pretty good size harvest, and if I need to cut vacation short and drive back a day eaqrly I guess I will, but I am looking for answers fast. Thanks in advance.

at worst they will yellow up a bit and droop a little; i just had plants in head in the dark for 3 days and they just kick back into gear when lit. nigel

I dont think the trichomes will be going anywhere in that extra day of darkness..if thats what your asking crash

Like nigel said....effects will be strictly physical...as long as your plant is not dead..she is still alive. When she thinks shes dying though...she kinda gives off one last dying breath of energy.

Nigel,tcb,and l4m thanks for replies ans setting my fears aside. I kinda panicked before I read furture about extended darkness. I really didn't want to head home a day early. From what I found, I should not water, I plan on cutting my girls down Saturday afternoon, as soon as I get home. , I am heading down to Haight/Asbury today as well as Oaksterdamn, and I have never been to San Fransisco, should be fun, again, thanks guys.

Just for the books, thanks all for input. I got home Saturday, opened tent, everything A/OK, some nice extra Frosties, like icing on the cake. I harvested all on Sunday with 1st trim and hanging in cool dark tent, 24 hours so far. Love the Brown Bag drying and curing, works great. Again thanks all.

Watch and see if this isn't your most resinous harvest ever as dark is when it is made and we use 48 hours of complete dark to start flowering and in middle use 72 hours in middle sometimes and always use at least 3-5 days at end of cycles and you will be shocked at the results and gain weight that doesn't dry off later as well instead of losing like many thank...I'm going to be doing a show about this next month as this is a secret some of us have held for years and it's time it got out! Just make sure dark is complete and don't open doors but keep circulating fans going in future but that is all you need as water is your enemy in the dark as plants must breath O2 through roots then? Thanks Steve, and thanks for input. Me being new to this, I only have 5-6 grows under my belt, but with each I learn something new and the yields increase a little, nothing monstrous, lol, but very respectful. I did notice the extra resins and since hanging, and brown bagging I did notice a much smaller bud shrinkage. I live in Vegas, Very hot SO, I have decided to put my 600w system aside and do a new grow with CFL's, t5's to be exact. Good deal @ HTG on 4foot 4 bulb Choise of bulbs for flower/veggin only 150.00, BUT right now I have to pump my air conditioning directly into tent to keep temps down, and my last 2 elec bills were 325.00 and 385.00 FRIGGIN OUCH, LOL. I have felt the heat, or lack of it with these t5s. Also gonna, try just 3 plants all Train Wreck in SCROG, .or LST, But I'll be able to keep lights 3 inchs from to of plants, won't have to run a/c line into tent, a fan or 2 will be just fine, just reading trying to figure where I will get best results, LST, or SCROG. I have a couple of weeks because 2 of the 3 TW have just broken GROUND. This TW is awesome, I had 2 in batch I harvested last week, 2 geno types, none with long red/orange hairs, the other white and frosty, real frosty. I know, I'm rambling, just got up, medicated and answered your reply, any in put on LST or SCROG?, lol....Thanks STEVE
