    I hear you with FFOF and their nutes, but I dont know any hydroponic stores near me. I'd be sketched out walking in their too. I could order, but on top of the already outrageous price, it will be far more. Im going to check em out still even though the budget is insanely tight.

    IMHO, the most Goof Proof is E & F (aka Flood & Drain).

    You will need a quality pH meter and a TDS/ppm/EC meter. Test a minimum of once a day, better 2-3 Xs a day, as nute pH can drift way out of range which significantly reduces nutrient availability to the roots.

    A cheap timer and low pressure pump work fine.

    Use white gravel all around and under whatever starter medium you chose. Small starter cubes are perfect (and less $$$$).

    Make sure your rez is large enough (depends on the number of tables you plan on running. Calculate the volume of each table (tub) multiply by the number of tubs, add them up and you have the size rez you need. Increase by 25-50% as you will be using a fair amount of nutes, and you don't want your pump to run dry.

    Maintain Rez temps between 50-70 degrees

    Fertilizers

    I recommend Dutch Master ONE- available in both Grow and Flower. Use only about 1/4 the recommended ppm during veg, about one week before switching to Flower increase Grow strength to 50%. Ditto Flower strength.

    Follow this and you will grow some damn fine nuggz

    Thanks guys for posting and for the hydro info, but this thread is a year old and I went the soil route instead. On the first grow now, link in the signature. It a total rookie mini grow with new plant deficiencies daily.
