Is it WWIII once Iran is in????? your thoughts

I dont know what the Arabs would be doing. I am thinking that they would not be the ones starting this little ditty.

Not sure if those rubber boat boys would be venturing out to engage anything. Those sub's may make the way through. Who knows what those crazy wingnuts would do. (and yes those boats rushing to a carrier or cruiser or battleship brings the title wingnut). They are all in a rush to wipe each other off the map.

I wonder if any of those subs could sink my battleship? Does anyone know? I think they have a couple of kilo class russian subs and some other type perhaps. Anyone have some sub insight for this. They may not be a factor if h. a. a. r. p/ does some singing.

How long would it take the Russians/China to enter when this starts? What would it take to make them feel like they need to be involved. I am thinking they have already fed them a great supply of machines and toys but would we see troop support from them for the Iranians?

Iran is not Iraq. They will have to show some serious shock and awe this time around. No middle east country can go toe to toe and defeat the U.S. but these nutcases are not going to be a push over. They are much better equiped and will strike Israel if they are able. There is no way that they can strike North America.........but then again suprises can happen.

Maybe just make the worlds largest piece of glass and bring everyone home.

I hope some people in the US goverment have enough common sense to stop any attack over Iran. I dont think it will lead to a WWIII, as really Russia are not going to support Iran beyond words, and neither China. But it isnt neccesary, it will be a nightmara anyway.

As the Irak experience has proved, war rarely works to solve problems, and often only lead to agravate them. Currently Iran is the regional potency, we like it or not. And it has been the US who put them in that situation. Without the colaboration of Iran, stabilization of Irak is impossible; although the religion fanatism, Iran is one of the more democratic arab countries, and we should negociate and understand with them., we like it or not.

Nixon realized it about China 40 years ago, and we should realize it about Iran now. Of course nobody wants Iran with nukes, as nobody wanted North Corea, Pakistan, India, (Israel)...having it. But if the only way of avoiding it is going continously to war, especially a impossible to win war like this, it would be better we were going used to it, and think that the cold war equilibrium is no longer valid.

The cost of a war against Iran, both to US and all the world will do seem the Irak war as a simple anecdote.

Good to bring that up; we were treating Israel in this same way not that long ago; scheduled nuclear facility inspections, international pressure, etc.

Israel even bricked off all the elevators and stairwells in their biggest facility to prevent inspectors from knowing about or accessing the lower levels of the facility (where the warhead factory was).

Also . . . India scares me 10x more then Iraq and Iran put together.

No offense but even if there was a nuclear war, after India fired the first, they would be absolutely destroyed mostly with the HAARP that HOF420 has described as well as highly sophisticated nukes, hydrogen bombs and exacted MOAB's. As other people have stated on this thread, our technology is still just too far ahead... when we're talking about all out war....

When you are talking about MAD, its less about fancy bombs and more about who has the least to loose . . .

that is why the US will never use nukes. the modern weapons the US has at it's disposal are making the nuke a unnecessary weapon to use.

countries like Iran and North Kora do not possess the same modern weapons so they feel they need nukes to protect them selves.

Countries claiming that they will never use their nukes, only have nukes to retaliate in that case. Thus if anyone starts firing nukes = end of the world as we know it. It’s a case of, if I go down I’m taking you with me.
