    super soil

One more about the Myco. When you transplant you want to put a small layer of topsoil onto the super soil then lay down 1 cup of Myco and have the roots come in contact with the Myco. This has proven to work best.

I use 1/4 cup of Myco added to the 6x6 pots I use to transplant cutting from my Ez cloner.
I put the soil in the pot make a hole and put the Myco into the hole so the cutting is in direct contact with the Myco.

I also use a bag of Myco in my EZ cloner sump with nothing but water and they root in 6 days instead of 10 with just water.

    I don't use rooting hormones.

wow tons of great info thanks for this.. how much molasses should i be adding? like 10ml per gallon?

so i add to 1 gallon of water, 1/4 cup myco, 1 tablespoon azomite, and 10ml (or however much) unsulfured blackstrap molasses... then when it comes to watering, i water 1 gal water only first, then 1gal of the mixture right?

and i only do this once a week or every watering?

i didnt add a layer of soil between the root base and the super soil this time.. i had a 3gal bucket filled with roots completely..and the plants had been in veg for almost 2 months.. so i figured they were strong and well developed enough to be placed right on top of the super soil once they went into the 7gal pot.. they've been fine for the 2 weeks theyve been in so far.

but i will do that next time, light layer as a buffer, then add a layer of myco on top of that, then throw the plant on top of that, and fill the sides with regular soil.

thats my dream to pull 2 lbs off a single 1k.. major major props for ur info bro.. anything else u want to add is always appreciated.. im thinking the alfalfa meal should be ok, i dont see why not.. 1/2 a cup in the soil mix is not much at all. and the n-p-k ratio is only 2.5-1-1.. so its more nitrogen, but im doing it mainly for the triacontanol in the alfalfa meal. ive read that it can increase yield anywhere from 30-60% when used in small amounts.

also, what is your opinion on the alaska humus.. do you think adding 1cup to the soil mix will give any added benefit? i know as far as compost tea goes, its supposed to be the 'gold' that makes a good tea jump to a GREAT tea. ton of beneficial life in it.

    super soil

I add 30ml molasses to the 1 gallon. With Azomite once you get to a certain level you wont see any better growth. But I have had good success with the once a week dosing. With organic gardening the plants will only use what they need and more is often not better. Myco, I do not know yet. My client adds the 1/4 cup to a gallon of water every time he waters from veg to harvest. There is no need to flush with super soil. He does not add Azomite but does add molasses at 10 ml every time he waters with the Myco. Carbs feed the beneficial bacteria. Lightly water your plant then finish off with the 1 gallon solution. I only do this once a week currentlyy for my grows.
I have watched him add his Myco and molasses and the plants reach for the sky within 15 minutes so I don't think it can hurt.
I am currently trying a Myco version that is water soluble it contains more than just the one type of Myco that the Extreme Gardening sells. I have used it in the past with my super soil version and got great results. Like I said before the Extreme Gardening version is just one strain of Myco and I would not have believed the results or even tried it if I did not see it for myself.
Laying down a layer of top soil on top of the super soil is needed if you are transplanting freshly rooted clones. If your transplants have been in soil for some time and are like 1-2 feet tall you wont have any issues.
Outdoor we grow inside 3 foot bushes in 5 gallon containers and transplant into 20-100 gallon fabric pots or into the ground with the plants sitting directly onto the super soil. Outdoor we mix and put the super soil into the ground/containers without letting it sit for 30 days with no problems.
Today i am going to mix up a batch of Super Soil for 6 outdoor plants for a client. the plants are 3-4 foot bushes in 5 gallon plastic pots that have been fed with Iguana Juice grow only no Myco or anything else, in Roots Organic soil. We will use 45 gallon fabric pots with super soil and Myco laid down. Nothing but water and molasses will be added.
Same as last year and we got 3lbs average per plant. One plant pulled over 4lbs.
    But that's Outdoor.
Alfalfa meal don't know never used it but i think it is in Roots soil mix.
I try to keep the Super Soil mix simple so new growers and old can grow quality without chemicals in there meds and just add water for the entire grow. Most don't have the time or desire to mess with there grows.

    Outdoor Super Soil

Here is what I did today. 6/16/11
    NORCAL backyard medical grow.
    45 gallon fabric pots
2 bags Super Soil on the bottom
2 bags Roots Organic on the top
The Super Soil mix was blended on site no cooking was done.
This will be a nothing but water from today until harvest grow.
Vegged for about 2 months in 5 gallon plastic pots. This size of clones gives us the best yields.
This is how we typically do it up here for outdoor. some use much larger pots but I have never used over 65's 40's seem to give the best yield vs bang for your buck. I Use 65's if you can plant may 1st.
You add 2 bags super soil then one bag topsoil add the plant and fill in with one more bag of Roots.
They have not been staked yet. They were just watered and the pic was taken so some look sideways. I will try and post pics every 2 weeks until harvest.
1 sour Diesel 3 OG Kush 2 GD Purps 1 PK 1 Blackberry Kush.

No additional Azomite or Myco was or will be added to this grow so you will see what Super Soil does all by itself in an outdoor grow.

All but 2 are very light green because of the minimal feeding.

    Watch and enjoy!

Do u stop this a couple wks before harvest or go till last day?

here is the final modification to the soil mix ill be running this next time:

    1.5 bags roots organic
    0.5 bags bio bizz light

1 bag earthworm castings (12.5 pounds)

1.25 pound fish bone meal (down to earth 3-16-0)
1.25 pound bat guano (happy frog 0-5-0)
1.25 pound blood meal (down to earth 12-0-0)

5 cups alaska humus (ancient forest)

    1/2 cup azomite
    1/2 cup mycorrhizal

    1/4 cup algamin (sea kelp)
1/4 cup alfalfa meal (down to earth)
    1/4 cup dolomite
1/4 Cup sulfate of Potash 0-0-50

1/8 cup humic acid (down to earth granular humic acid)
    1/8 cup epsom salt

    ---

feeling pretty confident about it, it incorporates all the missing additives that ive thought from the beginning would benefit the super soil mix.. here is a list of benefits of the alaska humus:

    Benefits:

The most outstanding benefits of Alaska Humus as soil conditioner with demonstrable positive impacts on plant growth and health as well as on resistance against stress factors (dryness, salt and pesticides) result from its high cation-exchange and pH-buffering capacity as also from its high water holding capacity. It is very active and is easily absorbed by the root. The high carbon content stimulates beneficial soil organisims. Due to these excellent properties, Alaska Humus can be applied on all types of soils and for all plants to stimulate plant growth and increase yields.

Improves structure, friability and aeration of soil
Optimizes use of soil water by plants
    Increases soil cation exchange capacity
    Improves soil buffering capacity
    Reduces soil erosion
Helps neutralize toxins and tie up heavy metals in the soil
    Reduces nutrient losses
    Neutralizes pH-value to 7
    Increases microbiological activity of soil
Stimulates plant growth, plant enzymes and cell division in plants and bacteria
Increases biomass production and plant membrane permeability
    Increases yield and quality
Promotes root respiration and development, especially vertically (better use of soil humidity)
Improves nutrient uptake through the root system
    Acts as an organic catalyst

on the package it says to mix it with your soil in 10%-25% humus to soil.. so i figure 2 bags of soil.. 5 cups should be enough to get the benefit im looking for..

then im just going with 1/4 cup of algamin (Sea kelp) and 1/4 cup of alfalfa meal.. small amounts but once again should be enough to get some benefit from them without overwhelming anything or throwing anything off balance.

then im gunna use the azomite/myko/molasses on every watering also. very excited to give this a try next round.. im barely starting this round of flowering so i still have like 2 months to go.. this will give me time to order that bag of potash and get the soil mixed and cook for 45 days or so. ill post pics of my ladies as they progress thru flower for a super soil indoor comparison.

i also decided (right now when i went to go water) that in addition to those 3 additives, im going to add 1ml of 18% liquid humic acid.. this lowers my water ph naturally to about 7.1 which is perfect. and im also going to add 1ml of yucca extract (earth juice assist) as a wetting agent. and im thinking of maybe adding 1 teaspoon of alaska humus to that mix also every watering. and 1ml of hygrozyme

i do not think its going to negatively affect anything at all, and this makes the super soil/watering combo the exact ingedients i used in my compost teas, which were very good and successful in the past.

    Super soil

I only add the azo, myco, molasses once a week. I use one teaspoon azo, measured exactly. If you use a spoon use a level spoonfull no heaping. I use plastic measuring spoons. I made a mistake as it was not a tablespoon.
I don't think adding the myco and molasses every day would hurt and seems to give the plants a boost. I do add the 3 all the way through flower stopping one week before harvest. The Azo ensures that the plant are not missing any micro nutrients. Again you get to a point of diminishing returns where more is just wasting product. You have to experiment, A teaspoon or less of azo would be a good starting point.
Most of my clients use my super soil formula and add nothing but straight city water with all of the chlorine and whatnot with 100% positive results.
Everything is there as sub has done this method for almost 20 years now.
Honestly, the extra Azo and Myco added to my uper soil smix, gave me higher yields and the potash did not seem to really give me anything but it is free and can only improve your soil. The azo myco molasses ever week gave faster growth rates but I dont know if it was the 3 combined or just the myco. The molasses feed the bacteria and many swear by it.
The only way to tell is run the same clones and run one straight super soil and then make different adds to several others and compare results. It is hard to beat the original formula but you can adjust it to different strains.
I setup a med grow about 2 weeks ago and used just the super soil.
They were planted in the original Roots Organic 1.5 cubic feet bags, half super soil on the bottom and roots on the top.
2 sour diesels 1 PK 1 Blackberry Kush all 2 feet tall from 5 gallon buckets'
2 G13 and 2 Black Indicas both were 2" tall and had just came out of the EZ cloner.
Today 17 days later the 2" clones are 18" and the others are 3'
Nothing but water added and the clones will over take the others in another week i believe. Some strains grow much faster than others no mater what they are grown in, or with.

In addition to feeding microbes, blackstrap molasses can offer the K boost. Not all molasses are created equal. Wholesome Sweeteners Organic Blackstrap has 700+mg of K. Plantation Organic Blackstrap has 350mg and Brer Rabbit Blackstrap if you can find it is 250mg with a high dose of calmag and iron. I use the wholesome sweeteners at 1ml/liter almost every watering. Although Sub's high P recipe "works" I suspect it can be improved which will make it much cheaper improve yields and quality. Either way I love the super soil method.
