male to female ratio!

bongripz - thanks for the cool blue info - that sounds great. I haven't been to Home De-Pot lately - are there actually BLUE fluoros or do you mean those kinda light blue tinted items?

I was talking to some other folks about this male-female ratio thing and the hypothesis was developed that dioecious plants like cannabis actually are not natuarally 50:50 - the females make zillions of seeds - they are what evolution really wants - one fat male can pollenate dozens of females - so it would make sense (plant sense?) that dioecious species "naturally" produce way more females than males - no help from us needed. And when was the last time any of us saw a grow of 10 or more plants where there were fewer females than males? ... maybe I'm just blowin' smoke here. Nevertheless I like bongripz' 3:1 ratio (his blue light special?)...

Funny this thread is up cause the other day I was wonderin the same thing. I had 5 plants. 1 was
definately male which I cut out, and the other 4 are fems 1 is in flower as we speak, growin some nice lil buds. The others have the little white hairs starting but not flowering yet. This in my opinion is very cool. by the way I made oil out of the male and it's not the most powerful stuff but not bad in a pinch.
