Everyone look up Saul Williams; BEST POET ALIVE!

Most of his work started as Poetry/ Spoken word, and even then they were mind-blowing, then he put it to music and SHABAM!!!

Be sure to get good and stoned then go on google and listen to some of his work. When you are blown away by it BUY HIS ALBUMS!

Listen to the versions without music and read along with the lyrics AMAZING

blow out the candles, i wait in the

darkness, like a vandal. the silloutte

of set in this mirror on the mantle.

fire place is in the heart. water

places the art 'round the island of

    desiring wheremost primitives stalk

    sacrificing their daughters, but these

    primordial waters carry a feminine

agenda that no man ever taught us.

true they captured and caught us,

transported, sold us, and bought us. they

constituted and lawed us, distorted truths

that they taught us. we rebelled, then

    fought us. we conformed, then

they formed us. Now these niggas rhyming

'bout material possessions. My adidas are

three years old, like my daughter, niggas

rhyme 'bout alize and need to rhyme about

water. but out of chaos comes order

Memories of an old friend and walks

Missing those long walks through trees that were spaced tightly with
    moss hung
Following that path, a once old road now overgrown tall grass, tires
    tracks years faded
A clearing ahead a large pond, beyond the geese take flight from the
    slightest distrubance
As quietly one could amongst twigs crackling, closer drawn the waters
edge wanting not to be seen
Sounds of nature yet quiet and still those sounds so longed to take in
Breath deeply this air not seen, cleansed of filth sweetened by the earth
I miss those long walks through the trees that were spaced tightly with
    moss hung

I am sittin on the clouds
I got smoke coming from my seat
I can play basketball with the moon
I got the whole world at my feet
Playin’ touch football on Marijuana Street
    Or in a marijuana field
You are so beneath my cleats
Get high, so high that I feel like lying
    Down in a cigar
Roll me up & smoke me cause
    I feel like dying

Swimming laps around a bottle of Louis The 13th
Jumping off of a mountain into a sea of Codeine
I’m at the top of the top but still I climb
And if I should ever fall, the ground will then turn to wine
Pop, Pop, I feel like flying, then I feel like frying, then I feel like dying

I can mingle with the stars & throw a party on Mars
I am a prisoner locked up behind Xanax bars
I have just boarded a plane without a pilot
    And violets are blue,
    Roses are red
    Daisies are yellow,
    The flowers are dead
Wish I can give you this feeling that I feel like buying
And if my dealer don’t have no more, then I feel like dying

    Christmas Carols Killed the Music

    Did you ever consider,
    the disruption of it all?
    The confusion of the senses,
    when Santa comes to call?

    November's when it really starts,
    the Gringe begins to frown,
    because the Christmas decorations appear,
like coloured litter through the town.

    You cannot get normal food,
it is all sweet Christmas treat.
They hide the steaks out the back,
while they flog thier turkey meat.

    Everything is marked up,
it all costs a few bucks more.
Just the seasonal usage of us,
    poor corporation's whore.

Increased police presence on the roads,
    to keep it under control.
    Just some holiday revenue,
    with the government roadway toll.

    The people all around me,
do not really help my mood.
    Thier expectation of a present,
    both expensive and crude.

    With insincere cheerfulness,
    they try and take a single day;
and infest a month with Christmas ,
    in each and every way.

The worst thing is while shopping,
    I enjoy the retro pop,
    yet come near end November,
my head is filled with Chrismas slop.

    Obscure choirs of children,
    singing out thier hearts.
    The umpteempth Christmas album,
    of some nostalgic fart.

    All clutter up my eardrums,
with thier carols and thier tune.
Which I then spend the day humming,
    my mind a Christmas ruin.

    So not only does Christmas,
    give your wallet a pick.
It can be said that the carols,
    killed the good music.

I saw him on You Tube growing Apapulco Gold

There was a man from Nantucket,
who put some Gold seeds in a bucket.
    They grew ten foot tall,
    he took clones from them all;
now he has a field full to 'pluck et'. lol ID

countyspud Left Handed & Upside Down

    The magic plant
    was discovered one day
    by an intrepid young lad
    who took it away
to his home he did steal
    and started a love affair
    that he continues with zeal

He loved it and nurtured it
    until it started to bud
then he sparked up a joint
    and on came the flood

    the flood in his mind
    was eye opening and new
he just had to share it
    and knew what to do

He found a young male plant
    and put it together
    with a female magic plant
    to grow seeds for better

    the seeds he did share
with the world far and wide
and now we have magic plants
    and smiles on all sides

    so plant a seed
    crack a smile
    you know it's the thing
    that binds us together
a joyous haze it does bring

    Sometimes you feel

    Sometimes you get the feeling'
    that there is something wrong.
Something that you saw lurking in the mirror,
    or an old recurring pain.
    Maybe a chance meeting,
    with someone from my past.
    That awkward sense of dejavu,
    then colours up my days.
The next person that i meet,
    did they think that too?
    All rehashes up old dramas,
    and starts them up anew.
People see it in your face,
    kindly ask' 'What's wrong?'
But how can i tell them it's just a feeling,
    that something somewhere's wrong?
They look at me with blank face,
    whatever can i mean?
I grab a problem from the air,
the moment knife edge razor keen.
    Satisfying empathatic notions,
    i distract them ,
once again skirting the real problem.
Not something so concrete and ordinary,
    as some mere human mishap.
    No this is not solvable,
because it is all so omniprescent,
    invested in everything around me
and all action in the world.
I just get the feeling being human,
that something somewhere is wrong. ID
