strain - original haze by seedsman
    indica/sativa - sativa
indoor/outdoor - indoor grow w/ 400W HPS + several flourescents including repti-glo flourescent curly bulb
days flowered and trichomes color(s) - appx. 10 weeks
medium - soil with lots of perlite. supplemented with dolomite lime, bat guano, kelp
nutrients - the fox farm trio
curing method and time - buds hung upside down on string for ? a week or two
    high - up
    potency - pretty good, fellows

this is a write-up of a 2009 grow, so i'm uuh.. hazy on the details :)

grow was in a small ~4x4' closet with a bunch of other stuff, so i think i cracked three and got one girl. i had a bunch of males going in another closet, so lots of the lower branches were tagged for crosses. i had to chuck all of my seeds, so the line is no more (pending some distant contacts).

in the pic the haze is the big column going up to the light :) there's a lot of durban points in the lower picture around it, so don't confuse them.

so - grow was in close quarters, and because of it, the OH got minimal veg time, still shot up like a rocket. and minimal flower time, 10, maybe 11 weeks. she could have used more but i needed to cut it short and it worked out okay. there was still an ample yield.. ooh, i'd say at least a qp, maybe a half. light sat buds but that is so totally okay with sats.. a dab'll do ya, one plant is a hefty supply if this pheno was representative. sure yield could have been higher with time and more space. plant cloned well and seemed robust and easy to grow.

low odor in veg. smells and tastes very different from other strains i know, fruity like sats with a hint of dark danky resin and something else.. just a different, chemical taste, but not bad, more.. odd. again, it's been a few years. totally palatable though. i smoked this with a few people, no one turned it down and some august heads were rather partial to it. i had several strains but this is what people wanted to smoke.

it wasn't a knock-out, but it was *quite* satisfying.. with it as it was, one could go blotto or happily stay functional with all the benes. when i can i'll pick up more of this, totally winner.

found a pic from the last week or so that better illustrates the habit.

got to add to this report.. my listed "10 weeks" is b.s. - i didn't keep notes and my jpgs all have the same date, so i really don't know.. but even the durban report says 12 weeks..

the lieu hanh and some others were harvested first, and i let the durban and haze run a fortnight longer. i don't know how i came up with 10 weeks.. i know it wasn't longer than 14.. it's a good bet the lieu hanh went for 10-12 and the dp/oh for 12-14... so, say 11 and 13 weeks :p

necessary to say - you can see a good amount of bud on the haze. i know i didn't run her 18.. but i seriously doubt that you'll get that kind of result with 10 weeks.

    LiveForMusic182 You high bra?

Could've been alot of reasons....maybe have had a deficiency its whole life..just looks real scraggly. My super lemon haze plant im about to harvest in a week has had a deficiency...i still expect nice bud from it though just have to deal with the shitty looking appearence of nute burn.

I love me some haze though...only on occasion cause it tends to relax me into a deep sleep lol.

Im confident waveguide has since grown some beautiful herb since 2009...as we can all only hope to improve with years of experience!

Oh yeah, I think we've all been there. Probably more frequently than most of us would like to admit. In fact I have a couple of fucked up plants going right now along with several nice ones. Frankly I've been thinking of choppin out the slouches but what the hell, like you said- sometimes you do end up getting some nice bud even out of the less than stellar looking plants.

the other links in my sig were all from the same grow.. you can see there's too much nutes going on. no ph meter of any kind.. wonder i got out of there with anything. my first real yield.

on the other hand, it's tough to blame me. i had this weird kelp product i can't find (probably dr. earth's kelp that had aged on the shelf for a few years.. box was caked in dust, kelp meal was red and powdery). it had this amaaaazing taste, so i kept adding more of it.

i won't disagree with you, she took it well and did the job. she got flushed, lovely to smoke (i know what overnuted bud tastes like). immature, crowded, too hot and ram horned, for sure.

but no, no more good grows from me. i spent the next year living in a tent. i've grown plants of one kind or another most of my life, worked in nurseries, but very rarely been able to afford more than rudimentary supplies and equipment. i don't like capitalism and i don't like gangstas, and they don't like me, and i'm too thick headed to keep my mouth shut about it.
