    it could use a lot of help.

    I'd like to see the grow journals split into in progress, abandoned and finished.

    I'd also like to see a better photo management tool on here.

    Moderators are plentiful, which is a good thing :)

    Members are plentiful & smart, which is the hardest thing to get.

    The homepage looks so out of date it isn't even funny.

    I used to manage a few vbulletin sites when I was younger.....so if you would like my help, PLEASE let me know. They were all heavily modified and I did it all myself.

    I am more than interested and willing to make this site better. There are other growing sites out there, but few of them contain the caliber of people that are here. It's like a hidden little niche :)

    I'd also like to propose an OPTIONAL members subscription fee (one time payment) that gives you the ability to always edit your posts, upload pictures the faster way (that I would like to have implemented)

    Please get back to me Administrators....lets make this site. Cause right now, y'all are letting itself break the site.


    ...and obviously I am new here but I have a lot of forum experience on upwards of twenty different sites. I've been part of the management on 4 or 5, and none currently so you'd definitely get my undivided attention until I find a job. At which point I would step down. Don't want my plants lives to suffer, or my journal to slack now do we?? :)

    Please, let me help you guys pump the site up a little bit!!!

    However the staff does not have access to these features/pages.

    The owner has control & he/she has never spoken to us staff, despite invitations.

    I would have to vote no for most of that stuff. Especially the grow journal thing. That would just create a TON of extra work, especially when people change their minds all the time and want to reopen their journal and whatnot. Mods would be moving threads around constantly.

    thank you for your interest in helping gc. there was a subscription (420 subscription) that is no longer available.

    members have the ability to always edit their posts now, it used to not always be the case but that was changed fairly recently i guess, and there are 4 ways a member could upload or post their images that i can think of. some of the ways, could be pretty quick depending on the image host chosen.

    what is this faster way of uploading pictures you speak of? :lol:

    Indeed. As an ex-mod for another forum, I can't imagine trying to manage that sort of system without going completely insane.

    A blanket encouragement to the journalists to keep the tags updated on each grow would be more practical, and leave the responsibility where it should lay in the first place, with the users. If we all tag our journals with active, completed, abandoned, etc...the work is done as long as we remember to change them at the appropriate times.

    because it was no longer needed.

    it still exists, in the form of a reward for winning POTW, or reward for contests of similar content.
