    Once horse manure is composted it actually smells quite nice; very earthy. I assume cow manure would be the same.

    I'm glad you're enjoying your grow. It's a great hobby! :D

    Composted cow manure is good stuff - my first grow used it as the only fertilizer and turned out quite well. Horse is a little hotter (more N). Check out the "NPK charts" link in my sig for more info.
