yep, does one let coco get as light as soil before next watering?(starting from seed here,4 days in). Or water every day? Im afraid to overwater the little ones.

P.S and on said 4rth day, should i see more than the second leaf starting,or, do i need to sharpen my patience pencil? Im all new to this coco thing.:afro:

well i never realy let my soil grow become dust
but on a seedling do you give it a few days in between waterings? Or is it ok to water every day @ this stage?

2-3 days max for sprouts in beer cups. Don't let them dry out but don't wash them away. Beyond that I hit 'em daily.

  5. When first transplanting cuttings I put them into Canna Coco in 1/2 gallon pots I water the coco until it's about to drain. Then about 3 days later you will notice that the middle area ,where the root ball is, is more dry than the edges of the pot. So I water in 2 oz, of the same mix that I transplanted with, directly onto the rootball, I repeat that about 3 days later. Then usually about 3 days after the second 2 oz dose the plant will be completely dry and it is ready to be watered with a full dose usually about 6 oz of water for each half a gallon container. As the plant gains in size you will have to water more often. On average when the plant has grown into it's container it is watered every three days. I give a 1/2 gallon allowance for every 5 gallons of coco.
