    After 11 years of conservative rule. Last night former Australian prime minister, John Howard was ousted from power.

    The tipping point for me was unfair industrial relations laws and our troops in Iraq...we're coming home. :)

    Kevin Rudd has kept quiet about cannabis laws during the election campaign...I think this is a good sign. Labor is traditionally softer on drug laws.

    Jan McLucas, a Labor party member on the front bench has advocated decriminalisation. :thumbs:

    Peter Garret, our new minister for the environment has a long history of smoking. It came out during the campaign that he used to smoke a lot when he was singing with Midnight Oil (yes, he used to be a rock star :lol:) and no one seemed to care. :thumbs:

    Specific policy is missing so far...but most would expect laws to be relaxed. :thumbs:
