What adds more thc?

I will say the real question is how to get a plant to produce the most thc that plant is capable of producing?

The answer is to grow the plant in as optimal conditions as possible.
That includes the amount of light it needs
Getting light to all relevant areas of the plant
Having the right mix of nutes not too much and not too little
keeping the ph right
keeping the tds/ppm at optimal levels
having an optimal amount of co2
and of course, water.

You can have some additives like, previously mentioned, molassus or any additive that has sugars in it, which in turn, will help the plant add mass.


That's it. A plant cannot produce more thc than it is genetically able to produce given an optimal environment. period.

If the strain has 20% THC thats all your gunna get reguardless of growing conditions.

you might get better tasting or bigger buds... that can be related to environmental conditions.... but you can only collect the THC % the strain allows or has in it

I say natural "Sunlight"..

All my flowering plants that I move from the 3000K HOT5 Cab into natural sunlight produce far better than those that remain under the articfial lighting no matter how good the light may be.

I assume its the copious amounts of UVB that causes the plant to produce higher amounts of THC that aids in protecting the plant from sunburning. At some point in the "Evolutions of my Grow" i'd like to purchase some UVB lights to add to the flower cab and figure out the correct amounts of time they should run. Should only be approx 4 - 5 hours maybe, whatever might be midday during lights on, i'd think.

I've noticed the last two harvests of my White Widow, that now have been getting added amounts of Epsom Salt (1 tbls > gal) adding higher doses of Mg since reading an article elsewhere talking about how the strain loves the higher dose.

There seems to be an increase to the amount of trichomes being produced by the plant which then becomes more apparent when set out on the back porch under natural sun on full sun days of course, here on the coast of the PacNW.

My answer would be the sun, that great yellow orb in the sky - it makes everything better, including us.

Do you think trace minerals and trace elements help the thc increase more then nitrogen and potash and phosfours

Ive grown the same strain for 18 yrs.... numerous different ways... I have never been able to increase the potency... I have tried alot of different methods. All of them have been Fairytales

UVB..and lots of it. Just like cannabis is meant to be grown.. I've got 4 150 watters on tracks...

Increasing resin amount and increasing potency are two different things.
