What is your favorite HID bulb, and why?

    No you dont. :p A T-5 grows more compact plants with much less lumens.

    Alone-T5s and all flourescents put out less lumens per watt than HID. LEDs also put out less per watt they just have a better spectrum.

    Well, limited in varying brands/types...and even grows. But, so far happy with results I am seeing with Ushio Opti-Blue I am using for veg.

    4000K or 6500K T8's or T12's for me in veg or cloning. Lowes 10$ for lamp and fixture , 5$ for bulbs. Save HID for flower :)

    I've been using the the 4' t5's for veg, but i have a mh 1000w super lux gro, (for certain straines), and 1000w hps for flower!

    I use Ushio Hi Lux hps for flower...it has 1000 more initial lumens than Hortilux... I haven't used them side by side, but I have used them back to back. I think the Ushio bulb lasts a lil longer :2cents::

    I understand that.... So whats the point?
    He asked a question. I answered it.
    I know that to match the same lumens of an HID lamp you would need alot of T-5's.
    I just know that the T-5's grow more compact plants which means more internodes, which means more bud per square foot. ;)
