    when taking clones

im going to try and explain this (my question) as best as i can

taking a clone- long stretchy branch -say 20"-

set of leaves at the tip you cut 6 to 8" from top - wella one clone

what about the other 12" - below the top set of leaves - say at 10" - there is another set of leaves - should you also use this for a clone and nip the center stalk passing through ?
would this be similar to topping producing 2 colas-

or do you stick to the top 8" of each branch and disguard the balance of the branch?

That's really up to you... I've cloned that piece you're talking about... I've also thrown it out.

I use the tops and the side branches... I just cut them off the stalk and just cut, dip and plant... I take 10 clones a week and get the same results from both tops and sides

i have only takens clones 1 time b4

i noticed some of the plants from clones grew different than others

i didnt track which clones came from where or what part of the plant so i cant say if that had anything to do with it

some of the plants had single cola - others had bushy type shape and no distictive single cola but had numerious small buds -

honestly the single colas yeilded more - this might be cuz my grow style (sog)

any idea why i had 2 different looking type of growth?

    all where white widow -

only main difference i can figure is where i took the clone from

I strongly suggest reading Cloning Made Easy in its entirety. It's all explained and it works. There are also several other treatises on cloning in the propagation section.

I took very small side branches that only had two nodes. I cut off the lower node and for the most part left the top node and growing tip alone. Even though my branches were small (or maybe because they WERE small) - my cloning adventure was wildly successful.
