i will be growing nirvana's nl in my c13 cabinet under a 250w hps. i will be using scotts seed starting soil until i transplant and chaing the soil to either earthgro and adding organics or miracle grow potting soil and adding perlite.

im not sure which to use. some people said earthgro worked well some said miracle grow.

if i could get some information and experiences with these soils that would be great.

    scotts seed starting :nono:

    miracle grow potting soil :nono:

Miracle Grow is made by Scotts. Both suck for :MJ:  MG is just ****ty ferts period. If you are going to go with organic you don't want to ruin the sweet life of organic with yucky chems :Puke: Especially MG. :2cents:

I would go with the Earth soil, or something. I have good luck with Wal-Mart brand soil. I buy the 40lb bag for $1.50 and mix it with a bag of perlite. Both the soil and perlite and unferted. I let my Pure Blend organic nutes do all the nute talking. Easier to control intake this way.

    :Peace:

There are growers here on the site that do use MG with success, in moderation, with good results. It's easy to find and affordable and will produce good plants.

The other side of the coin is organics. This takes some study and learning about soil and additives and there intereaction with each other, with great results.

I grow organic and would compare the two as: You can drive a VW or a mercedes SL, both will get you where you want to go. One is a bit more classy and refined for that special touch.

Learn as you go and refine your soil, lights, conditions and you too can be driving that mercedes.

    Enjoy your stay. :D
