Sounds like smokinrav's technique. He has a pretty damn good success rate, so I would say you're probably good to go.

I'm doing this right now. It'll be at least a week before you notice first signs of rooting. Also think you're giving them too much light with those floros. Place by window sill or anywhere indoors, normal incandescent lights. Just make sure no direct sunlight.

But I find that if you dip your cutting end in rooting hormone before leaving it submerged in water accelerates rooting. That's my conclusion. Opinions vary.

Progress can appear to be slow, but it should work.

Taking a clone late in flower will delay rooting pretty significantly. Expect it to take three weeks or more before transplant and then another 2-3 weeks before vegetative growth will resume.

I agree with smokin. I have taken clones from a flowering plant, and man it takes a long time for it to get to the point of full blown veg. A suggestion for you: in the future, take 2,3 or how ever many you want from all your veegging plants, Label each one from which plant it came, then flower the mothers. That way you will know which clones will be female or possibly male without having to wait the 4-6 weeks to clone a bud.

    I forgot........

You will have better cloning times if you take those lower buds after flowering, only at the first hairs that appear. I have found that they take fairly well if caught at that early stage.
