I just got hooked up with my second batch of clones...Buddah's Sister...and well, they were taken in flowering :burn: . I just wanted to know if it was worth the hassle. I would tell the guy to shove them, but it was from a friend of a friend and nobody else has clones these days. Hopfully I will never ever ever need to go shopping for clones again after this so...

Please let me know what ya'll think

    Hmm Yes

Why not just get some seeds grow till late veg and clone yourself?

    Thats Next

That is what I plan on doing later. I am on Somaseeds right now. I am a little weary about having seeds delivered. Can you say PO box?

    Hmm Yes

lol yeah no kidding. Man i realize how lucky i was. Either way you pay for it with your credit card etc. Do you have any friends who are cool that u can have it delivered to? if you dont have a po. box thats probably your best bet. I dont know a whole lot about cloning but if the clones were taken from flower that=bunk.....dunno someone more vet will have to answer that fully. *looks over at the senior gardeners cafe'* oh here comes one now

    Go for it.

At the very least it's practice and will motivate you to get more studying done. At best it removes a long wait to get a room full of flowering females.

    how far along?

One of the tricks I use in my scrog is to flower my clones until a handful of calyxes form, then put them back under veg lighting. This takes about 20% of it's normal flowering time. Each calyx becomes a stem as large as the main one, resulting in more large colas than just trimming does.

I don't know how far into flowering is too far, but I would guestimate that more than 70% towards it's harvest date might be too far to salvage. At the least, it would take a long, long time to get it back into veg.

    It's a "no-brainer" in my opinion.

    Take the clones.

I pulled my last batch of clones when the plants were around 7 weeks into flowering.

They did need to reveg.. but they're doing splendid.

The GJ we currently have running is the life of these gals.. and they're not done yet. :nono:

Get the clones.. root them if necessary.. then veg/reveg them to health.. and flower out some nice plants.

    :Peace:

I agree 100% .. you will be so hapy with the clones... how long were they flowering? You can take clones WHENEVER!!! idealy not during flowering or even within 7 days of flowering... but we all end up taking a clone for a friend during flowering.. give the guy a hug .. tell him thanks and get those clones under 20+ hours of light!

    i love you

    Update

10 Weeks of veg, and some weird a$$ leaves later I have some girls that look as though they will produce.
I will avoid this at all costs from now on!
