good point spiff. i had that prob at harvest. ground would get so cold that lower buds actually matured and almost died earlier that everytthing else. play it safe, didnt plant till early june. had a 6 foot plant. that depends on your situation though. i had good nutes and water coupled with moderate to excellent light. be your own judge..

Hello friend, looks like we are at the same latitude & country... I do the same thing every year as I do with my vegetable garden.. I plant everything after the big May 24, tis a farming tradition and a good fail/safe. It's nice watching bud & tomatoes sharing rows... and i find a good case of munchies usually has me bare foot in dirt chomping on radishes(spelling?) & cherry tomatoes... ahh the good ol' days are almost here.

I don't know how ppl. can live without varying seasons, nothing like spring fever after months of cabin fever from being shacked up due to -20 (-4 for u fahrenheiter's) degree temps & cozy roaring fire ablaze.

The question you are asking is a very common one. I ask myself the very same every year. The rule of thumb I like to live by is one week after the last frost. I end up planting at 2 or 3 different times though just to be safe. Seeds are easy to come by and seedlings are easy to lose if you have more on the way :D

I would use that tool cannabliss gave you a link to and add a week. That should be safe.

Good luck with your grow, maybe we can see some pics or a grow journal?

thanks for the replies guys,.. y ai figured some time after the last frost, but i had no idea when that was so i kept it safe and just put the babies outside during the day, and put them back inside at night. it's really hard to tell when teh last frost comes, but i guess next year i'll roughly know when it is. you think putting sprouts in some harsh conditions temperarily will help them become hardier, and more resistant to outdoor conditions?.. or would it be asking for a death wish?

    well if

ya did a Google for Last frost, you'll find tons of info especially if yer in the US..
and just a grow tip, MJ grows best between 55 and 90F.
So putting those babies out when it down in the 30's and 40's really won't help and could possisly damage them. Think "tropical"...

    Hardening Off

Blazzinbeatz- You have the right idea here. It's called "hardening off" in the world of gardening. Put the little guys out during the day and bring em at night. Gradually lengthening the amount of time they stay out over a couple of weeks, then leave em out there for good.

Good luck with your outdoor grow...
    Peace-
